Thinking of life in Australia? It is the most livable country. Check out why!

Australia has been thought of as an ideal place to live in for a long time. Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Global Livability Survey confirmed that fact yet another time!

Australia is the most livable country in the world

The list of the top 10 cities in the world
remained similar to last year, and Melbourne won as the world’s most livable city third time in a row!

Other than Melbourne, three more Australian cities made it to the top 10! That puts Australia well ahead of any other country in the world with 4 cities among the top 10!

  • Pert was number ninth,

  • Sydney seventh and

  • Adelaide was in the fifth place with same score as Calgary, Canada.

Melbourne is as close to ideal as it gets with an extremely high score of 97.5!

A total of 140 cities were surveyed under five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. Scores in each category and sub-category are compiled and weighted to give a total out of 100. 100 is considered ideal and 1 intolerable.

Melbourne is the culture capital of Australia, and also the greatest sport’s city in that country (and maybe even in the world?). Everyone’s heard of Australian football, one of tennis’ Grand Slam tournaments - Australian Open, Australian Grand Prix and Melbourne Cup – the supreme horse race that lives the spectators breathless.

Melbourne is a city of over 3.5 million people, but you could easily forget that fact when you enter one of its many parks, gardens and canals where you can find your peace in the midst of the thriving city.

The city itself is beautiful, with river Yarra passing through and flowing into the ocean. Melbourne has countless museums, monumental constructions like the building complex made out of metal and glass on the Federation Square, an observatory that gives you an amazing view of the whole city and the ocean.
